Hey, a few days ago I had the opportunity to listen Morningwood and their album: Morningwood.
It's really a good band, they are a rock band, and have an original sound.

They are from New York city, and they were founded in 2001,.From my point of view Chantal Claret has a good voice, and specially she sounds very very very good, two-thumbs-up on track 4 Jetsetter, on the other hand "Nth degree" is a softer song than Jetsetter, and she still sounds like an angel.

Jessy Bulbo
Dentro de los grupos que existen en México como alternativos o "indie" (cómo se le dice por el momento a este tipo de música), se encuentra Jessy Bulbo.
Jessy Bulbo son (corrijanme si estoy en lo incorrecto): Jessy, Galaxy y Héctor y cómo ellos mismos lo citan en su myspace (myspace.com/jessybulbo):
Su ritmo es bastante bueno y pegajoso, para esos momentos en lo que quieres escuchar algo que te prenda en el día, sin importar lo que digan sus letras.
Respecto a letras son sencillas aunque bastante fuertes, como diría el buen Alex Lora del Tri de México: "Mis niños, cuando pongan este CD en su casa por favor moderen el volumen para los castos oidos de sus padres", jajajajajajajajajaja
Por el momento estuvieron promoviendo su secillo: "Maldito", que en una entrevista en Reactor 105.7 f.m. la misma Jessy confesó que se la escribió a un ex-novio, jajajaja, vaya relación tan enfermiza X-D
Al parecer su siguiente sencillo en la lista es: "Sexo sin amor", la música está muuuy chida y la letra es buena, es una canción para andar rockeando (en el sentido en que quieran ver el significado de esta palabra :-P) en donde sea y con quien sea.
Saludos a Jessy Bulbo, espero les vaya bien con su nuevo disco (que no sé si es el primero) y esperemos tener más noticias de ustedes.
En cuanto pueda comprar el disco les daré una reseña más completa

jessy, galaxis y hector tuvieron una infancia dificil, pero cuando se acabo, les quedaba lo mas dificil de todo. ahora por fin reunidos en el escenario se dedican a lastimar los delicados timpanos de adolescentes avidos de aventuras

Make your choice
Sometimes in our lifetime, we have to take decisions that will change our lives forever, and it seems that it's my turn to do that decision... certainly I have a doubt.
It's not about what I should have to do (I know it very well), it's about what's going to happen.
I have a good feeling about my decision from my point of view. But it's hard to see back and leave a major part that I've done with my life. I still will have my friends and family, but I won't be beside them...
Why should I do what I choose?
Why should I fight for something that I don't know if would be worth?
Why should I begin from the begining on a foreign place?
Why should I take a high speed train and do my best?
Why should I go whenever my decisions take me?
because I want it.

Champ Car Mexico
The past November 10th, 11th and 12th the Champ Car Racing took place at Mexico, Mexico City, in the Motor Racing Track "Hermanos Rodriguez" (a few years ago, the following address was the official site of champ car http://www.champcar.com/, up to date you should visit the following link: http://www.champcarworldseries.com) you can view the race's results at the following address:

Sunday's race was so good, terrific, awesome and incredible, there's a slang in Mexico for this kink of events "No apto para cardiacos", and it could be translated as: "nonapt if you are a person with cardiac problems", hahahahaha
There were many concerts and presentations of many artist (actors, singers, etc.), additionally to the girls that always are at this kind of events. It was a good weekend.
The bad part of this was the weather, it was a rainy weekend, even it was raining while the race and the pilots had to change their wheels to rain wheels.
Congratulations to Sebastian Bourdais and his great, great and awesome success, the last lap was the best lap of my life (up to date, hahahaha) . Congratulations too to Justin Wilson and Will Power cause their good perfomance and for giving us a race with too many emotions, it was greateful guys. Justin I hope you'll get better of your hand, it's incredible to believe you were driving with a painful wrist.

Champ Car
El pasado 10, 11 y 12 de Noviembre fué en México las fechas de la Champ Car en México (este era el sitio oficial hace unos años http://www.champcar.com/pero ahora es este: http://www.champcarworldseries.com) los resultados de la carrera los puedes ver en:

La carrera del domingo estuvo muy buena, y como dicen en México: "No apta para cardiacos", jajajajaja
Hubo conciertos y presentaciones por parte de varios artistas, además de las modelos que acompañan a cualquier evento de coches. Un buen evento diría yo.
Lo malo fué el clima, estuvo lloviendo el sabado y domingo, de hecho durante la carrera principal hubo un momento en que la misma lluvia hizo que los pilotos cambiaran de llantas para dicho clima.
Felicidades a Sebastien Bourdais por su magnífica carrera y su triunfo, esa última vuelta estuvo grandiosa! y el rebase de último segundo fué geniaaaaaaaaaal. También felicidades y merecidos reconocimientos a Justin Wilson y a Will Power por tan buen espectáculo. Y un reconocimiento especial a Justin Wilson, que a pesar de tener lesinada su mano o muñeca dió una carrera como pocos en su vida.

Dancer in the dark
Every Bjork die-hard fan must see this film, and every person that likes Art MOvies and Alternative Movies.
"Dancer in the Dark" is a film where the starring Selma (played by Bjork) is a mother and worker for a factory, in her day by day work she begins to loose her vision up to be blind, knowing that her degenerative sickness is inherited, she does more than her best for getting money and pay the operation of her son, with this he will never be blind as her mother.
I can't tell anything else about the story but is a really depressive movie nad with its moral touch, you shouldn't loss any oportunity to watch this film.
The screenplay and narrative is so fast so that you have to be staring at each detail and scene from this movie, because it has to many things to tell in a few time (135 minutes).
The direction is very very good, photography is a low quality one, I didn't see the year of this movie but it should be from a time ago (at least from 90's begining). Even with this details, the story is so involving so that you forgot the photograph quality while you're trying to figure out what's going to happen in the next scene.
The camera movements are too hard, they are similar to the first 20 minutes of "Irreversible" film, it seems that the movie was filmed on a "natural way" so that sometimes you see many captions in an erratic way.
Finally the message that I got from this movie was: "what would you do for somebody that you love with all your heart?". You can find one answer in this movie.
I hope that you mind to watch it, and I hope that you enjoy it as I did it.

Bailando en la Oscuridad (Dancer in the Dark)
Cualquier fan de Bjork seguramente ha visto esta película, también los amantes del cine de arte y alternativo.
Dancer in the dark (Bailando en la oscuridad es su nombre en español) es una película en la cual la protagonista Selma (Interpretada por Bjork) es una ama de casa y obrera en una fábrica, en donde ella empieza a perder la vista, sabiendo que su mal degenerativo es hereditario, hace lo imposible para poder pagar la operación que evitará que su hijo quede ciego como a ella le está ocurriendo.
No puedo decir más de la historia, por lo que si quieres una verdadera película depresiva y con sus bemoles morales no debes de perder de esta excelente opcion.
En cuanto a la dirección e historia de la película, la narrativa es bastante rápida por lo que debes permanecer siempre atento para cada detalle que cuentan, porque son bastantes los aspectos que se deben de cubrir en muy poco tiempo (135 minutos).
La dirección es bastante buena, la fotografía es de baja calidad, no he visto el año en el que fué hecha, pero ya debe de tener bastante tiempo (al menos desde principios de los 90s) . Aunque con una historia tan llena de sorpresas los detalles de la fotografía son olvidados rápidamente.
Los movimientos de la cámara son bastantes bruscos, similares a las tomas de los primeros 20 minutos de la película: "Irreversible", aparentemente la película fué filmada de la forma más "natural" posible, por lo que de repente las tomas pareciera que son algo erráticas.
Finalmente el mensaje que al menos yo encontré fué: "Qué es lo que eres capáz de hacer por alguien a quien amas con todo tu corazón?" Una respuesta la puedes encontrar en este película.

It's good to be me
Pues apenas pude comprar el EP de Dover "It's good to be me"
Simplemente excelso, wooaawww, las versiones en vivo (o en directo) de sus canciones son bastante buenas, se puede apreciar la vibra que proyectan Dover a todos sus fans en cada uno de sus conciertos.
Este EP también incluye tres videos: "Weak hour of the rooster", "King George" y "Better day". Si últimamente han visitado el sitio oficial de Dover (http://www.dovercametome.com o http://www.dover.es) y han visto sus fotos más recientes podrás ver la gran transformación que ha tenido el grupo (y principalmente Cristina Llanos, vocalista).
El cambio es bueno. Y vaya que es de aplaudir su gran transformación que tuvieron ultimamente.

Honor a quien Honor Merece: Les Luthiers
Antes que nada una gran disculpa por todo este tiempo que he estado sin publicar absolutamente nada, pero el trabajo se ha tornado algo pesado últimamente :-S
Pasando a temas realmente importantes, este post es referente a la presentación de Les Luthiers en México el pasado 7 de Octubre, no hay palabras para describirlo, y me quedaría corto al decir que estuvo: "Simplemente Excelso"
muy buen concierto, a pesar de que han pasado los años y el show era el ya conocido: "Las obras del ayer (El refrito)", siguen manteniendose frescos y con esa chispa que los hace inigualables.
El show tuvo una duración de 1 hr 45 minutos, y simplemente parece ser un show de 30 minutos de tan rápido que va el tiempo. Modificaron algunos chistes y algunos diálogos para hacer variado el show y quienes ya lo hayan visto (en DVD) no se fueran con un "lo mismo de siempre".
Sigan así muchachos y esperamos aquí en México un regreso para el próximo o los próximos años.

Les Luthiers en México
Les Luthiers es un grupo singular que tiene tanto letras como shows humorísticos, tienes que ver uno de sus DVDs para poder entender de lo que estoy hablando :-P
Ellos son de Argentina y bastante populares en paises de habla hispana.
Su principal caracteristica es que hacen sus propios instrumentos (algunos sorprenden de qué están o cómo es que están hechos) de hecho Les Luthiers traducido del Frances significa: "Hacedores de instrumentos musicales"
Les Luthiers suelen vivistar México cada 2 o 3 años aproximadamente, y mañana es uno de sus tres conciertos que dan en la ciudad de México, además de ser la primera vez que los voy a ver en vivo :-D (Prometo decirles cómo estuvo el show :-P)

Finally I had the opportunity of listening more songs from Dover's new disc: "Follow the City Lights", therefore I can talk more about this album:
This disc is so good, electrónic sounds, sinthetizers, the distortioned voice of Cristina sounds so good, after all of this I have a not so good comment:
The don't appear to be Dover.
For their fans from Sister album, you could see an evolution step by step, and you could listen a better sound from them day by day, a great rock band with an awesome sound from "I was dead for 7 weeks in the city of angels" album, if you listened "The flame" there were some changes in the sound of the band, but they still continue being Dover as themselves, I consider that "the flame" album wasn't their best disc, but it was so good and we were waiting for bigger and better surprises from them
But now, with "follow the city lights" everything's changing radically, you can see a big jump from The Flame to Follow the city lights, Dover are so good, but they aren't the same band that I met in that years at the ending of 90's.
I hope that they get success with this new disc, and that they continue achieving more fans day by day, despite for me they are another band that I don't know at all. A different band.

Finalmente he podido escuchar más canciones del nuevo disco de Dover : Follow the City Lights, por lo que puedo dar ahora un poco de más opiniones:

No Parecen Dover
Para sus seguidores desde el Sister, se notaba una evolución poco a poco de cómo su sonido era cada día mejor, una banda de rock consolidada hasta el I was dead for 7 weeks in the city of angels, en el The Flame hubo ciertos cambios, pero seguían siendo ellos, no era su mejor disco, pero era muy bueno y esperabamos mayores sorpresas de ellos.
Pero ahora con "Follow the city lights" todo cambia radicalmente, simplemente el cambio de un disco a otro se abismal, son buenos, pero ya no son los mismo que conocí en aquella época a finales de los 90's.
Espero que tengan un gran exito con su nuevo disco y que sigan adquiriendo nuevos fans y mayor fama alrededor del mundo, aunque para mi, ya no son la misma banda que conocí, ahora son una banda diferente.

Hello to everyone.
well, here we are, in a Crimson Place, before anything I want to specify the crimson meaning:
crim‧son [krim-zuhn, -suhn]
And after the class of english we can start writing on it.
Basically it will be my blog for posting about music (principally), movies, some art, and another couriousities that I find day by day.
Every one is welcome for sending its comments, and please, let me know that there's somebody on the other side of the mirror.
