San Felipe, Estado de Mexico

The last weekend I went to San Felipe, a town from Estado de Mexico, Mexico, it's located at 44 kilometers (aprox) from Toluca to the north.

It's a quiet and very peaceful place, the people is very humble and pretty kind, every person that I found there just said me hello, good morning, good evening and goodbye. Maybe those are simple things, but up to day many of us have forgotten it and we are only thinking about our business without paying attention to the persons that are beside us.

There you can eat Barbacoa, a traditional dish from Mexico, in many towns from Estado de Mexico they prepare a pretty good and tasty barbacoa, if you have the oportunity just don't doubt and taste it with a good beer in your right hand :-D

I drove 1:45 hrs on the highway, it was a so nice trip, the traklist for this was:

Apocalypse release - Muse
Sing for absolution - Muse
Stockholm syndrome - Muse
Hysteria - Muse
Endlessly - Muse
Creeps me out - IMA Robot
Disconnect - IMA Robot
Happy Annie - IMA Robot
Dangerous life - IMA Robot
Seventeen seconds - The Cure
M - The Cure
A reflection - The Cure
Secrets - The Cure
Boys don't cry - The Cure
Cut here - The Cure
Lovecats - The Cure
Temptation - The Cure
Close to me - The Cure
Just like heaven - The Cure
Believer - Kill Hannah
The collapse - Kill Hannah
Crazy Angel - Kill Hannah

And others that I have forgotten but they did this trip a complete pleasure.

Obviously the Crown of the storm came with me :-D

Have fun

A funny commercial from EDS trilogy

A Crimson Place: A funny commercial from EDS trilogy

The third commercial.

This is the third commercial from EDS, it's about building airplanes.

I agree more with this vision of what do the developers, software architects, programmers, testers, project managers and others do on our daily activities :-).

Have a nice week

Drovell: From Mexico To The World

This is a band from Mexico, they are four members and have a good sound. Yesterday I went to a show of them on a bar named Purpura at Mexico City.

They sound likely Dildo, Sunshine Underground, obviously with their respective diferences.

You should hear them, they are a good choice for a new sound and getting new music.

This is my advice for this week.

A new recommendation

Hi, I found this new group reviewing www.myspace.com/radiovago, one of their members now is part of Veruca Salta (www.myspace.com/verucasalt).

They sound pretty well, I'm looking for an album of them and then I'll write more about them and principally their sounds, silences and more.

Meanwhile here's a promotional banner of their latest album (up to date)

Malinalco

Malinalco is a beautiful place, it has a great landscape and if you like going to quiet, quiet, so quiet place you're going to really like it.

It's a small town, with a church and every sunday a "Tianguis" takes place (something like a market but it's located through 6 or 7 streets in average)

I like too much that place, is like to disconnect from the outside world, have funfor a while and enjoy the landscape :-P

here you have many pictures from there. If you have the opportunity to go I bet you won't get afraid of it.

Kill Hannah

Looking for new and good music, I found this band named Kill Hannah.

I've heard their album: "Until there's nothing left of us."

Kill Hannah is a band with a futurist sound, they have a singular sintetizer used on their songs. Just as an example if you listen the Intro, Believer and Collapse from that album you'll get what I'm talking about. :-P

Looking for information about them I found the following directly from the wikipedia:

Members (currently):

The name of the band "Hannah", comes from an ex-girlfriend name of the vocalist Mat Devine. After the fallout with Hannah, Mat printed up stickers to place on "In a Jar UK" 7" records bearing the name "Kill Hannah". Several hundred un-stickered versions are known to exist, with approximately 20 bearing the Kill Hannah sticker

Their LP's are:
  1. The Beauty in Sinking Ships (1996)
  2. Here are the Young Moderns (1998)
  3. American Jet Set (1999)
  4. For Never and Ever (October 14, 2003)
  5. The Curse of Kill Hannah (compilation of previously released material) (May, 2004)
  6. Until There's Nothing Left Of Us (August 01, 2006)
You can get more information about them on their Official WebSite

They have a nice sound, and their lyrics are not complicated at all, I consider them a band as Garbage or similar, their sound is not so heavy and not too soft. Maybe a good band when you need something quiet but with good enough guitar rifts.

I didn't found videos of them to share, but you can watch them on their official site.

On my favorite songs are:
Collapse
Believer
Lips like Morphine
Outro
and their cover of "Under the milky way".

A funny commercial from EDS trilogy

This commercial was released a time ago, if I'm not wrong it has 4 years (at least)
hehehehehe

It tries to show an analogy about working with a lot of information, multiple programs and things like that when you are a Computational Systems Engineer (or similar) and you work for as a consultant.

I'm looking for the other ones, there should be 3 commercials in total, if you have it or you know where to watch it, please let us know :-P

What do you want to do in this 2007?

We have begun a new year, now it's time for 2007.

As usually the people say: A year with expectations, victories, success and more. More promises than in 2006.

Surprises, achievements and things like that will happen on this 2007 but don't forget desillusions, sadness and their opossite.

I hope you'll achieve all your goals on this 2007, my best from me to you.

For this year I have some of the following intentions:

  • Travel to another country at least by work purposes
  • Modify my car (the crow of the storm) and get a better performance
  • To know more people, and more places from Mexico.
  • To be an MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solution Developer), currently I'm only a MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), obviously before I must be a MCAD (Microsoft Certified Applications Developer)
  • To buy a console of third generation.
  • To do more excercise and maybe I'll apply on a Sport club or something like that
  • At least to run on 5 Rallies (that's why I need a better performance on my car :-P)
Well, they seem to be good enough for this year, and I hope to complete all of them.

Best Regards for you and your family.

Outside of Mexico City

The latest days I've spent my time traveling to places near to Mexico City (1 hour of distance aprox. if you travel by car).

I got the following photos using a Sony Ericsson W810i and its 2.0 MegaPixels Camera.

I hope you enjoy them (as you can see I'm not used to take too much pictures, it's just for a brief memory)

La Marquesa, Estado de México:
the landscape is beautiful.

Picture of the: "Iztaccihuatl" a volcano from México.
Picture taken on "Ameca Meca" a nice and quiet town near to Mexico City

I'll bring more pictures on the future from Malinalco, another quiet town from Mexico, Estado de México, if you want to rest and forget about the daily stress, hehehehehe

Keep rocking and driving

Hey, just keep rooking and driving.

I'll see you at the highway, driving the Crow of the Storm

Morningwood

Hey, a few days ago I had the opportunity to listen Morningwood and their album: Morningwood.

It's really a good band, they are a rock band, and have an original sound.

I found some information about them on the wikipedia :-P

this is some text extracted from there:

They are from New York city, and they were founded in 2001,.

Morningwood members:
They only have one album and it's (obviously) Morningwood
From my point of view Chantal Claret has a good voice, and specially she sounds very very very good, two-thumbs-up on track 4 Jetsetter, on the other hand "Nth degree" is a softer song than Jetsetter, and she still sounds like an angel.

They seem to be a great future on the next years, and I hope to see them early in a concert, their sound is fresh and with energy. It's good to have new options and so good options.

You can buy their album at Amazon.com

If you want to hear one song from them, I let you this video from YouTube.com
Song : JetSetter

and another one
song: Nth Degree
(a soft one)

Finally if you want more information about them, you can access their official site:

Jessy Bulbo

Make your choice

Sometimes in our lifetime, we have to take decisions that will change our lives forever, and it seems that it's my turn to do that decision... certainly I have a doubt.

It's not about what I should have to do (I know it very well), it's about what's going to happen.

I have a good feeling about my decision from my point of view. But it's hard to see back and leave a major part that I've done with my life. I still will have my friends and family, but I won't be beside them...

Why should I do what I choose?
Why should I fight for something that I don't know if would be worth?
Why should I begin from the begining on a foreign place?
Why should I take a high speed train and do my best?
Why should I go whenever my decisions take me?

because I want it.

P.D. Far is not the word because I'm never far enough

Champ Car Mexico

The past November 10th, 11th and 12th the Champ Car Racing took place at Mexico, Mexico City, in the Motor Racing Track "Hermanos Rodriguez" (a few years ago, the following address was the official site of champ car http://www.champcar.com/, up to date you should visit the following link: http://www.champcarworldseries.com) you can view the race's results at the following address:
http://www.champcarworldseries.com/Results/ResultsIndex.asp

Sunday's race was so good, terrific, awesome and incredible, there's a slang in Mexico for this kink of events "No apto para cardiacos", and it could be translated as: "nonapt if you are a person with cardiac problems", hahahahaha

There were many concerts and presentations of many artist (actors, singers, etc.), additionally to the girls that always are at this kind of events. It was a good weekend.

The bad part of this was the weather, it was a rainy weekend, even it was raining while the race and the pilots had to change their wheels to rain wheels.

Congratulations to Sebastian Bourdais and his great, great and awesome success, the last lap was the best lap of my life (up to date, hahahaha) . Congratulations too to Justin Wilson and Will Power cause their good perfomance and for giving us a race with too many emotions, it was greateful guys. Justin I hope you'll get better of your hand, it's incredible to believe you were driving with a painful wrist.

Attached are photos of the winner.

Champ Car

http://www.champcarworldseries.com/Results/ResultsIndex.asp
